Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy (SWT) is a non-invasive treatment modality which involves directing several series of acoustic wave pulsations to an area of injury. This form of therapy is used in the treatment of many musculoskeletal conditions, primarily those involving connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons. Shockwave therapy at our facility is used by physiotherapists and chiropractors.

Shockwave therapy can help your injury by promoting blood flow to the area of injury, stimulate collagen production, breakdown calcium build-up, and provide pain relief.

Shockwave therapy can be used to treat:

  • Tennis elbow

  • Plantar fasciitis 

  • Rotator cuff injuries 

  • Tendinitis

  • Jumper’s knee (patellar tendonitis)

  • Achilles tendinopathy 

  • Heel spurs 

  • Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder and other areas

  • Gluteus and hip tendinopathies

  • Chronic pain

All prices include HST (unless stated otherwise). Some services may be covered by Private Insurance, Auto Insurance or Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB)
